Mad Skillz

As a stay-at-home-daughter, my days usually consist of filling my time with hobbies & honing in on my skills. Sometimes that means sitting in front of a computer for hours as I perfect my architect skills in The Sims, and other times I use a massive amount of creativity to pretend to do the job of a magazine editor. Yesterday was the latter. I've been working on my "inspiration notebook", something I started collecting magazine clippings for long before I even had an interest in fashion. I'm proud to say that it's almost completely done - just gotta add in some "filler clippings" as I call them. (the tiny clippings that help fill in the empty white spaces) Hopefully by perfecting my skills, I'll find one that will lead me to a real job one day. lol

Speaking of skills, check out this headband! My real life friend (& new blog reader!) Heather made it for me. My crafting talents don't go beyond glitter & glue, so I'm always impressed with people who can manipulate yarn to make beautiful creations for wearing. Plus it's the perfect accessory for the freezing Wisconsin winters. Style and function? Heck yes!!

Outfit details - Dress, $7 (thrifted, Target brand) - Cardigan, $1.50 (thrifted, Old Navy brand) - Scarf, from Dani - Tights, $5 (Wal-Mart) - Flats, $10 (Wal-Mart) - Lipstick, 911D by Wet'n'Wild - Headband, $10 (made by my friend Heather)
