I started the year off at a ridiculously tiny party, with 4 other people, playing the Settlers of Catan. My outfit wasn't nearly as awesome as the one in these pictures. Actually, my sister begged me not to wear a skirt so I compromised by wearing a sequin tank top with jeans.
Yesterday, I was accompanied to the movies by two lovely ladies, my mom and sister. We watched "Parental Guidance". It was a very cute family movie with plenty of laughs. Totally looking forward to spending more time in the dark with them when we go back to the theater to see "The Guilt Trip". I guess this year is starting off pretty good!
Outfit details - Skirt, $3 (thrifted) - Tank top & scarf, from Dani (top is Fossil brand) - Jacket, $4 (thrifted, brand) - Tights/leggings, both from Wal-Mart - Boots, $15 (K-mart old) - Hat, $1 (Dollar Store old) - Fox ring, $2.50 (eBay)

Because my sister and I were going to the same get together and she insisted it was going to be casual and small and I would feel silly all dressed up.
Needless to say, I felt underdressed. Sure, everyone else was in jeans and a t-shirt and were even shocked that I wore something sequined, but I've gotten so used to dressing for myself that when I couldn't do that, I just felt odd.
