Five For Friday: Favorite Movie Wardrobes

I love when movies film at a mall/shopping center. I've always feel a deep connection with malls, like maybe I was an 80's Valley Girl who worked at a department store in my past life. My love of malls extends past movies and into Robin Sparkle's song "Let's Go To The Mall" and of course playing the board game Mall Madness! That was just my long winded way of leading into today's post which is about my favorite fashion moments in movies. Because the best thing you can buy at a mall is clothes, right?

1. New York Minute
I can't talk about fashion icons without talking about MK&A. Besides lusting after their perfectly beachy waves, I also have a longing for all of their characters many outfit choices.

2. Stepmonster
This is a wildcard! For as evil as the new step mom was, she surely had the greatest collection of 90's floral dresses that I've ever seen. I wouldn't mind if she died and I inherited them. (oh wait, she does die! where are my dresses?!)

3. Mannequin
I had a hard time choosing if I liked Mannequin 1 or 2 better and once I finally decided, I then had a hard time choosing whose clothes were better - Hollywood or Emmy? Gonna have to go with the guy on this one. Hollywood really stole the show with his over the top looks. (this is probably the only time I will tell you I've been inspired by the way a man dresses.)

4. Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen
This movie is definitely a high point for Lindsay Lohan, in my opinion. Every single time I watch it, it makes me wish I could get all dolled up and go on a big city adventure (and craft a lot). But alas, I just watch the movie from home and then blog about how fabulous it is.

5. Pretty In Pink
I tried to avoid cliche "fashionable" movies, but Pretty In Pink was too hard to pass up. (and it's another Andrew McCarthy flick!) It's a classic for 80's clothes. Everyone in the movie dressed rad. Everyone.

What movie wardrobes inspire you?

I now have "Let's Go To The Mall" in my head... Fabulous post! I've only seen one of these movies... I didn't even know there was a Mannequin 2?! I so love the first film and Hollywood totally wins! xx
